Tickets will be on sale in the PBL area in the Law and Management building on Hes East. Tickets usually sell out in under half an hour so please arrive promptly to avoid disappointment.

MONDAY 14 NOV; 12:00 - 2:00pm
TUESDAY 15 NOV; 11:45 - 1:00pm
THURSDAY 17 NOV; 1:30 - 2:30pm

How much?

Tickets are priced at £25 for members and £35 for non-members. We will only be taking cash we have no facility to take card payments. Please if you can try to have the right money as we are always short for change.

Can I buy membership there?

If you wish to buy a ticket as a member and do not already have membership (which is £10) please try to buy this beforehand. You can buy membership online through our website: (you will be redirected to the YUSU page). You will be able to purcahse membership at the time of buying tickets- however you will have to do this in a separate queue before joining the queue for tickets. Our tickets often sell out quickly so we advise that you buy membership beforehand to avoid disappointment- once tickets are gone they’re gone. NB: buying a ticket as a non-member does not automatically make you a member. If you bought a non-member ticket for £35 and then wished to join LawSoc at a later date this will cost you an additioanl £10.

What do I need to bring/what details do I need?

When purchasing a LawSoc member ticket please have one of the following ready to prove membership:

Your Law Society membership card- this must be signed
Your confirmation e-mail from YUSU stating that you have purchased membership

Please also have your student card so that we can check that your name matches and your year group for priority tickets. Please also remember cash, we cannot reserve tickets for you.
Please have the following details at the ready to be able to give them to the committee member:

E-mail Address
Dietary Requirements
Food Choice (meat or vegetarian)
Table Choices

How do the table choices work?

We ask that you provide us with a list of 6 preferred firms that you would like to sit with. Our rotation system means that you will sit with three firms during the course of the evening and we will try to allocate you as many of these preferences as possible, but cannot guarantee this. Those wishing to sit on the Barrister’s table will not be moving during the evening. However please note that there are only a limited number of places on the bar tables and these will have to be allocated on a first come first served basis. Therefore we recommend that you have a list of six preferred firms as a back up should these spaces be filled by the time it is your turn in the queue.
The list of firms you are able to list to sit with are as follows:

Addleshaw Goddard
Allen & Overy
Baker & McKenzie
Clifford Chance
DLA Piper
Herbert Smith Freehills
Hogan Lovells
King & Wood Mallesons
Norton Rose Fulbright
Pinsent Masons
Slaughter and May
Walker Morris
White & Case

Plus the ‘Aspiring Solicitors’ table (reps will be lawyers from in-house legal teams of London based organisations. This is a new opportunity added this year that we are excited to be offering and encourage you to take up).
Can I buy a ticket for a friend?

You are allowed to buy ticket(s) for a friend if they cannot make it, however the number of tickets able to be purchased will be limited to 5 per person.
If buying a ticket for someone else who is a member please have their details ready (name, subject, year group, table choices, meal choice (meat or vegetarian) and any dietary requirements) as we need to take these details straight away. We will be checking their name against the backpages to check if they are a member. You can of course buy tickets for friends who are non-members.
